THEME AND DETAILS

• Youth as a part of innovative solutions to global health challenges.
• Highlight any health challenges faced by the communities up to the national level. It should be a health issue that occurs in the communities.
• Share your ideas for solving the health challenge that you described—highly recommended not to share solutions that highlight the need for breakthrough medication or medical technology. Participants should share solutions that focus on access to health equity. The ideas do not have to be complex, brand new, or advanced but more applicable and practical solutions.
• How can you participate in those solutions? Despite being young, we believe you can be a critical part of health solutions in Indonesia. From the solutions that you have described, what is your role? How can you contribute to that idea? Share your skills and potential!

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Only Indonesian high school students are allowed to participate.
• Have to follow the Instagram account of @sihi.indonesia and the Facebook page of SIHI Indonesia: www.facebook.com/SIHIhubindonesia
• Please upload the screenshot of your account following those two social media accounts in the registration form.
• The registration is free. However, you can only send out an essay or a vlog. Participants that submit more than one will be disqualified.
• Any plagiarism, racial discrimination, hate speech, violence, and harassment will lead to disqualification.
• SIHI Indonesia owns the right to document and publish the selected essays and vlogs.
• Reviewers’ decisions are final and not to be questioned.

• Only undergraduate students of any major are allowed to participate.

IDEATHON GUIDELINE

• During the ideathon, you will work in a group of 3-5 people. The committee will ensure that everyone will have their working group, but you are free to select your group members. You can have your team established before the ideathon, but still, you need to register yourself individually.
• The entire activities of ideathon are online. Please ensure that you will have a good internet connection during the ideathon.
• During the ideathon, participants will work in groups to solve a maternal health challenge. We will share a detailed health case that reflects an actual situation. There is no limitation about what kind of solution you may offer. It can be community-based activities to phone-based apps. We encourage you to provide practical solutions that are considerate with plenty of values like norms and culture, resources, and the characteristic of the targeted population.
• We will provide you with a short knowledge-sharing session and mentoring during the ideathon. Thus, do not worry if you are unfamiliar with ideathon, maternal health issues or social innovation in health. Some experts will share their experiences and knowledge prior to the ideathon. Be ready to gain plenty of knowledge and skills!
